Dictionary French English App Reviews

Some phrases are quite easy to find, the meanings well explained. Others seen to have no references and are not to be flung, no matter how diligently one tries. Not five stars for that reason.

Most functional hand-held foreign language dictionary -- easy to switch between languages, gives colloquial options, even like the "easy to read" green font!

I use this application often in my life as I am learning. I is a very convenient tool in my grammar and vocabulary development.

Dictionary is pretty good for an online app. I purchased the (computerized) "voice" which pronounces the words. Thats a work in progress. In less than half an hour, it pronounced at least one word using incorrect sounds. (Pronouncing substitute letters). Can live with that, but what grates on the ears, is that the computer does not distinguish what it reads. So abbreviations ( like Qqn, or Qqchapronounced as though they are words. The computer has not

Once you purchase the app it doesnt tell you that the voice is additional. Then after you purchase the voice you cannot control the speed. You can only access the speed when you download the voice. This is frustrating when you are trying to get the proper annunciation!

Ive been using Bitknights dictionaries for years (French, Spanish, German) and theyre great, the Apple Watch App takes more than 30 seconds at times making it useless. 5 stars once this is sped up, until then iTranslates app is faster and supports every language I care about. Also every language now uses the same blue icon making it a bit slower to find the Lang I want.

Very true, the AppleWatch translator is horrible. Ask it to translate and it just spins for about 2 minutes. I asked it to translate “What time is it?” just now (11PM Pacific) and I gave up after holding my arm up for 2 minutes. They need to fix this or I’m asking for a refund.

Very useful ! I love it My language progress is going faster than before. Thank you Just I think the "m" sound is not pronounced completely !! In this new version, silent doesnt work !! :/

App will not do anything upon open. Completely locked up. This was a great app. :(

I am a Latin teacher (also bilingual in English & Spanish) and very demanding of the learning tools I employ. I recently started studying French and was shocked by the poor quality of apps I bought or downloaded. However, this dictionary app is outstanding & I recommend it to everyone. It is easy to use & the translations are accurate. Id give it a "10"!
